In 2011 the IZOD IndyCar Series will be returning to Sao Paulo for the second time for the Sao Paulo Indy 300. The date for the 2011 season was moved to May 1st.
2010 produced an exciting inaugural Sao Paulo Indy 300 with Will Power taking the win in the first race of the season. Ryan Hunter-Reay finished second with Vitor Meira just behind in an action packed race that included a first lap crash and a large rainstorm.
